A great example of this was an automotive client in Ellesmere Port who had sent product into the USA for a heat treatment process which was then re-imported to the UK. Unfortunately, their forwarder had cleared the shipments using the incorrect Customs regime and had incurred significant amounts of US Customs duty which they expected the customer to pay. Here we reviewed the paper trail, submitted a report to show where the errors had occurred and the client received a full refund. A very happy and relieved customer!
